Thailand International Percussion Festival

In two weeks, the 1st Thailand International Percussion Festival will take place in Bangkok. This great initiative is the brain child of Mr. Tanasit Siripanichwattana, or, as known to his friends, 'Bank'. The competition is open to young musicians around the globe and has both solo and chamber music categories. Several guests artists have been invited to serve as jury members, performers and clinicians, including Ludwig Albert, Nanae Mimura, Oh Seung Myeong, and Filippo Lattanzi. The festival will be hosted at the Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music.

I am really looking forward to joining this amazing group of musicians as a jury member for the chamber music category and hearing the music of upcoming young artists. I will also be giving a workshop on the prepared marimba and performing diastemas by alcides lanza and my own composition, Never-Never Island. If you are in the area, make sure to check it out!
